ARTISTS

Angie Rogers and Viv Owen have many years of experience in developing, planning and delivering all sorts of art projects with all kinds of people.

Both artists have Masters Degrees in Fine Art and teaching qualifications, as well as being practising artists in their own right.

For Angie and Viv, drawing is a crucial aspect of their practice and both artists make extensive use of sketchbooks as an essential tool in their work.

Environmental concerns are reflected in the frequent use of salvaged and upcycled materials, in personal work and with workshop participants.

ANGIE ROGERS

Originally from the Midlands but living in West Yorkshire for over twenty years, Angie Rogers has a broad range of skills within Fine Art practice with specialism in Printmaking, Drawing and Digital Photography.

Angie works from a studio at the top of a Victorian textile mill at Hebden Bridge in the Calder Valley.

Exhibiting regularly, recent work has been informed by the contrasting aspects of the South Pennine environment and has focussed on Landscape and the Built Environment.

VIV OWEN

Viv Owen's specialist area is portraits painted in oils, often zooming in on ephemeral, brightly-coloured images as seen when looking at the TV screen or an old photograph.

Viv maintains a keen interest in the process of drawing direct from observation, with subject matter ranging

from the natural landscape to the study of people negotiating the urban environment.
